Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Best for the Children (bestforthechildren.com) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. Last updated: November 2026.
What we collect
You can read every page on this site without creating an account, and there is no comment section. Reading the site never asks for your name, address, or payment details.
Like any website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, the referring page, and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you type in, so we can reply. We do not add you to a mailing list.
The calendar builder
You can read this site and search for a school without giving us anything. If you build a calendar and ask us to keep it, these are the details we hold.
- Your email address. It is your account. We use it to send your calendar and a sign-in link. There are no passwords.
- Your calendar details. Each child's name or nickname, school and parenting schedule, so you can come back and change them.
- Anything you provide. School calendar pictures and parenting agreements, kept with your account.
We don't sell your information. We use it only to give you your calendar and to make this tool work better for you, including checking our school calendars against the ones parents send.
We use outside services to host the site, keep your account, send email, take payments and read what you upload, including AI tools. They handle parenting agreements and account details only to do that work. School calendar pictures are read by an AI service that may use them to improve its tools, so please send only the calendar itself. Questions about this? Write to info@bestforthechildren.com.
Your account and files stay with us until you ask us to delete them. Write to info@bestforthechildren.com for a copy or to delete them. Use an email only you can open, since anyone who can open it can sign in.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, and device type. We use this only as totals to decide what to write and fix. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores. This site's own pages do not need cookies to work; the cookies set here come from the services named above. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.
Embedded content and links
Some pages include content from other websites, such as videos or the contact form (Google Forms). Those embeds behave as if you visited the other website, and that site may collect data about you under its own privacy policy. Links to other sites are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you from a contact-form message, or to delete it, at any time through the contact page. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have further rights under local law; we will honor those requests.
Payments and refunds
Card payments are handled by a secure payment company. We never see or keep your card number. A calendar plan is one payment and does not renew by itself.
You can get a full refund within 60 days of buying. Go to the refund page, sign in with the email you paid with, and answer two quick questions. The refund usually reaches your card in a few business days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted on this page with a new date.
